Breeding Dogs
Our breeding dogs are held to high health and temperament requirements. These include but are not limited to; conformation and joint health, individual and litter health, genetic testing, and behaviour tests. NSD is only accepting the best dogs into the breeding program based on these standards in order to produce healthy, temperamentally-sound puppies that will hopefully have a long working career as a Service Dog.

Dogs in Training
Each of our Service Dogs has their own unique path to greatness. We follow their journeys closely, from birth until deployment. The flow of dogs through NSD’s Programs takes 0-2 years, with volunteer Puppy Raisers and Adult Raisers working in partnership with NSD’s professional training team to reach each dog’s development goals. All of the training and care provided to each dog would not be possible without the support of our generous volunteers and donors.
