NSD Star
Star is currently with his puppy raiser. He is being taught a foundation of house manners and cues, for becoming a well-socialized part of the community.

Star's Updates
January 2024
Star is such a smart and loving puppy. He loves cuddles and falling asleep on your lap. He is also a fast learner and a very good listener. His newest trick is paw. He is such a happy boy who loves following you wherever you go and he is getting so good at knowing that when his NSD coat is on, he is in work mode.
April 2024
Star is a very smart and happy boy. He not only gets to wear his NSD jacket but also his gentle leader. He is not always the biggest fan of his gentle leader but he has made so much progress over the last few weeks. He is learning so much in his grade school puppy classes and he loves practicing his new tricks, specifically “up, up” and “under”. Star is a big boy who is growing so fast, but even though he doesn’t fit in your lap for snuggles anymore he will still try to wiggle his way in.
October 2024
I am now in high school classes! I’m really starting to get the hang of this service dog thing, so my puppy raiser takes me to lots of new and exciting places to practice. I am also learning new advanced skills such as 'back,' 'touch,' 'chin,' and stepping on the perch pot. In class, I practice stairs and different under-footings and work for new and different handlers. This is an important step in preparing me for the next phase of my training. At home, I am polishing up my manners around meal times, guests, and outdoor walks. Now that I have more impulse control, I get to have more freedom around the house and get to sleep out of my crate some nights.
