Very Important Pets
Some dogs are not made for the working life and are better suited to our Very. Important. Pets. program.
When the decision to transition a dog into a pet is made, we look for an internal placement first and if one is not available, we refer to our waiting list for our VIPs. These dogs have no specific skills training and are simply placed as a pet within the home of their adopter, and are generally one to two years of age upon placement.
Cost
Several factors determine the cost of a VIP and will be made available along with the dog’s adoption bio to those eligible to apply.
All of our released dogs have been micro chipped, are up to date on their vaccines, are from well established breeding lines, and have attended weekly obedience training classes and extensive socialization.
Recipients of our VIPs become the sole owners of the dog upon receipt and are responsible for all expenses associated with the dog from that day forward.
Wait Times
Currently, an applicant may wait up to a year or longer to receive a VIP.
The timing of a VIP placement is not determined by chronological position on the waiting list. Each VIP will be placed in the home that is the best fit for the dog and their individual health and training needs.
Apply
The adoption list is currently closed. Please check back in the coming months for an update on the list reopening.
Questions regarding timelines or getting on the waiting list will not be responded to at this time.
