NSD Webber

Webber is currently with his puppy raiser. He is being taught a foundation of house manners and cues, for becoming a well-socialized part of the community.

All of the training and care provided to each dog would not be possible without the support of generous volunteers and donors.

Training Updates

Webber is a very lovable puppy who loves belly scratches whenever he wakes up from a nap. He learns new skills very quickly and doesn’t seem to be alarmed by anything (sirens, vacuum cleaners, trains). He’s just started wearing his NSD vest at mealtimes and doesn’t mind at all — his focus is on the food!

Webber continues to be a sweet, lovable puppy who loves going for walks and car rides. Although he loves being around people, he’s become very good at playing on his own while we work. He’s learning his toys by name and one of his favourites is his Purple Mustache. He’s become very good at staying patiently on his mat. We’re continuing to work on loose-leash walking and leave-it.

At almost 10 months old, Webber is long and lean and full of energy. He’s very sweet and playful. He’s getting very good at loose leash walking and has mastered the long stay on his mat. He has largely unrestricted access to the house as he has excellent house manners. Webber loves going on outings, such as the mall or the market in St. Jacob’s, and he’s hoping to attend some university classes in September with his human sibling. On Friday nights, he’s known to drag us to an outdoor patio where he can practice “under” while we enjoy a glass of wine. Despite his sizable nose and massive ears, Webber is terrible at playing hide and seek.
