After an in-depth assessment, Thor has been streamed to our very important pet program for health/behavioural reasons. He will now have the important job of providing love to his forever family. Special thanks go out to his puppy and adult raisers for all their hard work.
All of the training and care provided to each dog would not be possible without the support of generous volunteers and donors.

Thor has been a wonderful bundle of energy, pushing his foster parents to be quick on their feet and learn alongside him. He seems to approve of his new environment and loves his new toys and crate. He is one smart cookie, who has practically aced the commands ‘sit’ and ‘down’. Thor is working hard practicing loose-leash walking, which can be hard with so many new things to see and do.
Thor is working hard on new distractions as we explore different environments, like grocery stores and malls, loud and quiet places, with big people and small ones. He definitely still catches the eye of everyone he passes by, even more so now with his jacket on. He is maturing nicely, remembering his “leave it’s” as best as he can but still is sneaky with child-like mischief.
Thor has had a busy couple of months finishing up Grade School, learning to adapt to new environments and people and really solidifying foundational skills. He is working really hard to tackle stairs, but it’s tough as he forgets that he has back legs too! Thor has been doing really well in public and is slowly warming up to evening cuddle sessions too! We can’t wait to see what high school will bring!
Thor has been such a trooper, willing to explore and get comfortable with new opportunities around him. He has been doing well with remembering cues in new, distracting environments and is working hard on dog distractions. He really enjoyed his first birthday, his first swim and we look forward to more firsts in the summer with Thor!
Thor is such a sweet boy! He has settled into his new home very well. He is a huge cuddle bug and wants to snuggle with everyone he meets. We are working on being calm and controlling his excitement around new people and dogs. He has already made lots of progress settling around his new doggy playmates and is enjoying all the playdates he gets to go on. I can’t wait to watch this boy continue to learn!
