NSD Keeper

Keeper is currently with her adult raiser. She has started University and goes to NSD for training 4 days a week. When not at NSD, she learns how to settle, cuddle and continue to be a welcomed member of the community. This training will help prepare them to be matched with their client.

All of the training and care provided to each dog would not be possible without the support of generous volunteers and donors.

Training Updates

NSD Keeper is an absolute sweetheart and fits into our family seamlessly. She had limited experience with children before coming toNational Service Dogs, NSD our home but it’s as if she grew up with them. She is a natural with children. She is so patient and gentle with our 3-year-old and is genuinely interested in what she does throughout the day. Keeper follows our daughter around, listens to commands she gives and even plays hide and seek. Keeper allows her to dress her up and play “spa” with her (brushing, massaging, pretend pedicures). We know NSD Keeper will be a life-changer for one lucky family.

Keeper continues to learn and improve on her skills, especially loose leash walking and her “hurry up” command. She loves greeting us at the door with a toy and covering her eyes with her paw when she sleeps. She is a natural at cuddling with adults and children. She has a keen interest in young children and always seeks them out. She is so gentle and seems to genuinely enjoy hanging out with them. Keeper has become a Mama figure to our dog, Hank. When she joined our family, Hank was just a puppy. She does her best to keep him in line and has taught him so much. We can’t wait to watch Keeper change lives

Keeper will start training at NSD University on May 25th!
