Extend your support for National Service Dogs and make a lasting impact on families in need of a life-changing Service Dog, catalysts for restorative change.
Whether you would like to put your donation to work today or benefit families after your lifetime, you can find a plan that fits your needs.
Together, we can come up with a plan that lets you provide for your family while helping other families through our charitable bequest program.
Wills and Trusts
Property or money may be bequeathed to National Service Dogs by means of a legal will.
NSD may also be named as beneficiary of a trust agreement.
Stocks and Bonds
Stocks and bonds may be donated to National Service Dogs as an outright gift and can be easily transferred to the organization without triggering a capital gain for the donor.
Bank accounts, certificates of deposit, or individual retirement accounts may be placed in trust for or made payable on death to National Service Dogs.
National Service Dogs may be named as the beneficiary of a life insurance policy or a retirement/pension plan.
Real estate may be donated either by making an outright gift or, in the case of residential property, by reserving a life estate to the donor, who can continue to live therein during his/her lifetime.
A gift annuity is an arrangement whereby one transfers
money or securities to National Service Dogs; in exchange the donor or designate receives a specified annuity payment every year for life.
Kate & NSD Oakley – Certified Service Dog for Autism Team
When your child receives a diagnosis of Autism, your world spins. Your mind tries desperately to manage emotions so intense you wonder if you’ll ever make it through. All our lives we have realized that it is dogs, without ego or fear of failure, who are the most superior of friends. It is this friendship that we wanted for Kate. Whether it be the loyalty that keeps Kate safe in a world so difficult to navigate or whether it be Oakley’s deep pressure “visits” that make her feel calm.
A dog, like a parent, will love a child more than it loves itself. It is for this reason these dogs are the only therapy suitable to live in our world, day and night, year after year. NSD Oakley “Long Legs” has bounded into our hearts in a big way. It is a big success story that’s just beginning and we owe it all to the staff, volunteers and supporters at National Service Dogs. Thank you!
