NSD Heshman

Heshman is currently with his adult raiser. He will continue to work hard on generalizing his cues and house manners in a new environment, with a new handler. This stage of training is to prepare them for University.

All of the training and care provided to each dog would not be possible without the support of generous volunteers and donors.

NSD Heshman October 2022

Heshman is a kind and smart, cuddly boy who loves to be near his people while chewing on some chew toys. He has built a strong foundation for cues such as sit, down and wait and we are working away at loose leash walking. He is exceptional at food impulse control and can leave multiple treats on his paws at a time. We are so proud of how much he has accomplished and can’t wait to see what the future months will bring.

Heshman has come such a long way! He is visiting lots of people and places and behaving like a gentleman. He is such a kind and happy boy. He is working on his loose leash walking, settling in public, and remaining calm while in the car. This sweet boy has such a bright future and I am so lucky to be a part of it.

Heshman is now in high school and will be working on new skills such as touch, chin, side, back up, step and stand. All of these skills form the basis for college & university.

Heshman is so calm and loving. His favorite thing is taking a nap in the sun.
He most recently joined us at our cottage where he assumed the position of people and pet watcher all weekend.
Heshman is enjoying his last few months with us until he moves to his next raiser, and we are soaking in every sweet moment we have with this extremely lovable boy.

Hesh has been with me for 1 week and has settled in nicely. We have been working on loose leash walking and he is doing very well, especially in a lower distraction environment. We do daily trail walks on a long line and he has quickly learned to recall and move off of the trail when bikes and runners are passing and focus on me. He is still working on his dog distractions, but overall recalls have improved in just a week. His house manners have been lovely. He is quiet and well mannered.
