National Volunteer Week 2021

Happy National Volunteer Week! We love celebrating our volunteers. They are the backbone of our organization and we would not be here without them.

The theme for National Volunteer Week 2021 is “The Power of One, The Value of Many” and this could not be a better fit for National Service Dogs. Raising a Service Dog takes a village of volunteers.

Let me take you through the journey, click on the photo to watch a short video.

Each and every one of our volunteers plays an important role in the big picture of National Service Dogs and they know it. After our annual Paws for Celebration where we recognized and celebrated the journey of nearly 60 dogs who found their career path, volunteers commented the following:

“I am so proud to be a very small part of this organization!”

“I was so glad to be part of it”

“I felt proud to be a small part in the upbringing of these amazing dogs”

“I feel honoured to be a small part of this organization.”

If you know a volunteer make sure you say thank you to them this week. They are an important piece to a puzzle.

In the theme of National Volunteer Week 2021:

The value of one volunteer with National Service Dogs.

The power of many Canadians achieving their full potential with strategically trained and certified service dogs.

Thank you volunteers at National Service Dogs for giving your role so much passion and thoughtfulness!
