Scotty is currently with his adult raiser. He has started University and goes to NSD for training 5 days a week. When not at NSD, he learns how to settle, cuddle and continue to be a welcomed member of the community. This training will help prepare him to be matched with his client.

Scotty is a clever, energetic boy who loves playing, cuddling, and working for his treats! When he gets excited he can’t help but wiggle
his whole butt to give the most enthusiastic tail wags! He’s been doing really well out in public with his jacket and is now working on settling and using his skills in other high distraction environments.
August 2021
Scotty is a playful, loving boy whose favourite things are going for walks, chewing his favourite toys, and cuddling. He is doing very well with going in public and settling. He’s working on his implied “leave it” and practicing some fun “spin” and “turn” cues. Scotty’s becoming a confident boy and being exposed to new things every day!
December 2021
Scotty celebrated his first birthday at the end of September! He is working hard on adding distance and duration to his skills and continues to go on adventures with his puppy raiser and experience as many new things as possible. He is developing into a wonderful dog and we are excited to see what his future may hold as he continues on his service dog journey. Soon he will be moving on to his adult raiser to prepare him for NSD university.
March 2022
Scotty has mastered all his basic skills but is always happy to practice them, especially if there’s a treat in store! His house manners are excellent. He has learned to share space with small children and is patient, tolerant and gentle with the little ones. He loves to go on outings and is excellent when out in jacket and is very calm when greeted. We are working on distractions in high distraction situations but he is quick to refocus if need be. Scotty is a lovely, smart and affectionate boy. He loves trail walks with his human and doggy friends, naps in a nice warm sunny place, and he is just the best cuddler!

Scotty has been accepted into NSD University as part of our 2022 Fall class!

Scotty is such a sweet and silly boy! He continues to impress everyone around him with his skills and we are excited to welcome him to NSD University on June 6th!
